Our success story in offset printing began in 1963, when Folex presented the first polyester montage film with anti-static treatment. Our Folanorm AS and Folanorm AN products became the synonym for montage film in the 1970s.
In the 1980s, our self-adhesive, dimensionally stable polyester underpacking foils then made for a substantial boost in productivity and set new standards in modern printing operations. We wrote a further chapter of this success story in the 1990s by launching our cuttable polymer plates for inline coating. Folacoat coating plates very rapidly gained an excellent reputation around the globe. Compressible underpacking materials completed the successful range of coating plates.
The products we offer today include coating systems comprising universal coating plates and compressible underpacking for perfect coating transfer, as well as underpacking foils for high-performance printing.

Since 1933 Kinyosha Japan has been manufacturing offset printing blankets and rubber rollers and is now the largest manufacturer of its type in Japan. With manufacturing at four plants in Japan and also Virginia – USA, Shenzen – China and Hanoi – Vietnam, we aim to be the leading supplier of blankets worldwide. In addition to our manufacturing bases we have a network of Kinyo offices and exclusive distributors worldwide.
Classic Colours was formed in 1989 to formulate and manufacture offset printing inks. As a new company we looked for niche markets and to offer technically superior products in difficult areas such as fluorescent and metallic printing.
Waterless printing was in its infancy in the early 90’s, and the only source of ink was from Japan. We worked with waterless printers in the UK and many in Scandinavia to develop a full range of waterless inks.
We market our waterless inks to many countries worldwide and 5 years ago added waterless UV curing inks to our extensive range.
Every type of ink that is available to the conventional offset printer can now be supplied in a waterless formulation.
Although waterless inks are the main focus of our development projects, we have not forgotten conventional offset, and continue to improve our ranges of fluorescent and metallic inks for this process.
